Kurt Schichtle was convinced to come on this hunt by his fellow Austrian, Ekkehard Sichler. We had a lot of fun with Kurt and Ekkehard. Jon Nichols, their guide, walked them across creeks and up into the snow. While crossing one of the creeks, Kurt fell and the eyepeice of the Leopold 3 x 9 scope was cracked, but Kurt was still able to make the single killing shot at 200 yards. Kurt said it was well worth the effort for this beautiful 9 1/2 bear.
